The purpose of this report is to provide visibility into the business models and technologies behind innovative payment mechanisms that have the potential to increase financial inclusion, particularly in low-income markets. Although not all innovations examined in this report have been made with the unserved and underserved in mind, many of them can nonetheless be used to facilitate financial inclusion.
