Preparations are now underway for the third AFI Global Policy Forum. This year’s forum will be co-hosted by CNBV (Mexico) and SBS (Peru). GPF 2011 will take place on 28-30 September 2011 at the Fairmont Mayakoba Resort in Rivera Maya, Mexico.
The 2011 Global Policy Forum is a unique arena for policymakers from developing countries to meet, share experiences and explore how to take the issue of financial inclusion policy forward and increase access to financial services for the poor.
Under the overarching theme, ‘Taking stock, Setting goals, Moving forward,’ the GPF will provide participants an opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned, and self-assess progress made with a view towards developing concrete objectives in financial inclusion policy for 2012 and beyond.
The 2011 AFI Global Policy Forum agenda will be shaped by its members, for its members. The GPF 2011 will feature in depth sessions hosted by AFI member working groups focused on Mobile Financial Services, Consumer Protection, Financial Inclusion Data and Financial Integrity.
Participation in GPF2011 is by invitation only and will not be open to the general public.
