The Alliance for Financial Inclusion’s (AFI) Pacific Islands Working Group (PIWG) Meeting will be held on 24-26 March 2014 in Nadi, Fiji, and will be co-hosted by the Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF).

The objectives of the March meeting are to:

• Share new developments on financial inclusion and take stock of members’ in-country progress;
• Discuss and endorse the working group deliverables that was proposed at the last working group meeting in Kuala Lumpur; and,
• Discuss emerging products and initiatives with private sector stakeholders and other external partners.

During the meeting, working group members will have the chance to benefit from the experiences and expertise of policymakers and regulators from seven AFI member institutions currently part of the PIWG, as well as technical experts specializing in this policy area.
