Capacity Building: Training on SME Finance

What is the Training About?
Promoting MSME provides a channel to assist people from the lower income population to increase their income and to be financially active. It involves development of policies that support access to credit for MSME – through commercial banks or Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) and needs to be supported by credit guarantee, educating the end users on financial products and services, encouraging innovation, integrating technology to improve MSME related processes.
The training will cover the following areas:
- Overview of approaches for policy development and coordination for the MSME sector from the regulatory and capacity building perspectives
- Innovations in financial products, services and delivery channels to support MSME
- SME Financial Inclusion Indicators Base Set
- Supporting infrastructure to enable effective access to financing for MSME sector
Who Should Attend?
Middle and senior level officials from AFI member institutions who are involved in developing policies that are directly related to the promotion of MSME are invited to apply for the training.
