Dr. Alfred Hannig is AFI’s founder and Chief Executive Officer. Since the institution’s launch in 2008, Hannig has steered its growth from a handful of enthusiastic members into an independent global alliance and important knowledge hub of policymaking and regulatory institutions from more than 90 developing and emerging nations.

Through his Reflections, Dr. Hannig continues to actively champion the AFI network concept and promote the essential role of financial inclusion policy for the health of both the underserved and global economic system.
