AFI is delighted to announce that the 2025 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) will take place in Namibia!
Each year, the AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) brings together several hundred policymakers and regulators from around the world, serving as a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, and as an enabler and accelerator for financial inclusion nationally, regionally and globally.
The 2025 GPF will take place in Windhoek, co-hosted by Bank of Namibia, an active AFI member since 2009 when our network was created.
“Bank of Namibia’s ambition to socialize and to catalyze financial inclusion through next year’s GPF is laudable. The Bank’s innovative approach to financial inclusion, notably in mobile banking and digital payments, and commitment to fostering an inclusive financial ecosystem, particularly for women, youth, and rural communities, makes it the ideal host for the AFI Global Policy Forum,” said AFI Chief Executive Officer, Dr Alfred Hannig.
“The Bank of Namibia is grateful for the exciting opportunity to host the prestigious AFI Global Policy Forum in 2025. This will also provide an excellent platform for Namibia to highlight our financial inclusion achievements and initiatives,” said Johannes !Gawaxab, Governor, Bank of Namibia.
