Financial regulatory authorities worldwide recognize the transformative potential of Instant Payment Systems (IPS) in promoting financial inclusion and driving economic growth. On the back of global trends in enhancements to digital payment infrastructure, AFI member countries are leveraging IPS to accelerate digital financial inclusion. The training aims to provide participants with practical insights into the various approaches to IPS within the AFI network, fostering collaborative peer learning sessions. The program will delve into experiences of CBJ and JoPACC and other participating member institutions in IPS implementation, covering use cases, features, governance arrangements, regulatory frameworks, pricing, and costing aspects.
The program follows AFI’s peer learning model, and all the nominated participants are expected to actively participate and share knowledge and experiences from their respective institutions. For this exclusive technical training, we request you to nominate officials involved in the development of payments systems and digital financial services with focus on financial inclusion. Staff from the payment system & supervision, consumer protection and financial inclusion departments can contribute and also benefit the most from this training.
