Advancing climate action and economic development: Palestine Monetary Authority finalizes its action plan

The Palestine Monetary Authority has finalized its AFI In-Country Implementation program, which aims to increase PMA’s contribution to climate action and lead to more sustainable economic development.

“PMA is taking decisive steps to promote the transition towards a digital and sustainable economy,”  shared H.E. the Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, Dr Feras Milhem.

AFI supported PMA’s implementation of their sustainable finance action plan, which comprises three phases including a gap analysis, a sustainable finance roadmap, guidelines for banking and non-banking financial sector, and through promoting financial literacy and awareness of Inclusive Green Finance. AFI‘s support covered the first phase of PMA plan, with the development of a gap analysis and a sustainable finance roadmap.”

“The AFI In-Country-Implementation program helps AFI’s members to accelerate their progress and achievements towards a sustainable and inclusive growth by providing grants or technical assistance” explained Katia Mehanneche, AFI’s regional Manager for the Arab Region.
