AFI and Software Group, a global technology company that specializes in delivery channel and integration solutions for financial services institutions, are launching a cooperation within AFI’s Public-Private Dialogue Platform (PPD) to advance financial inclusion in Africa. The partnership will support implementation of AFI’s Financial Inclusion Policy Initiative in Africa (AfPI) in the areas of digital financial services, digital transformation of the microfinance sector, Fin-Tech/Reg-Tech, and financial inclusion for women. The initial partnership term is September 2017-August 2018.

AFI is a member-owned network of over 110 financial inclusion policy-making and regulatory institutions from 95 developing and emerging countries around the world, covering up to 85 percent of the world’s unbanked. AFI promotes and develops evidence-based policy solutions that help improve the lives of an estimated 2 billion unbanked, almost half of the world’s adult population, who do not have access to formal financial services.
