The training aims to equip regulators with the tools to build an ecosystem where alternative finance providers can thrive and deliver targeted financial products for WMSMEs. Participants will analyze supply-side barriers, evaluate models like digital credit and venture capital, and explore how to create a pipeline of “investable” women-led businesses. The program draws on key AFI Knowledge Products, including A Policy Framework for WMSME Access to Finance (V.2), Survey Report on FinTech for MSME Access to Financing (V.2), Alternative Data for Credit Scoring, Survey Report on Alternative Financing for MSMEs” and the Policy Model on Gender Inclusive Finance.
