In the Arab region, AFI members have demonstrated their willingness to support youth financial inclusion, through impactful and sustainable policies. Based on this interest and backed by the Kigali statement endorsed by AFI members in 2019, AFI Management Unit have developed a special initiative for the Arab region – the Financial Inclusion for Youth in the Arab Region Initiative – providing guidance and support to regulators to advance the agenda on youth financial inclusion, through regional training, technical meetings, and technical support.

The first phase of this Regional Initiative will be delivered physically in collaboration with Banque Centrale de Tunisie through two components :

1. 19 July – 21 July (first half): BCT – AFI Regional Training on Promoting Youth Financial Inclusion – Practical Policy Perspectives 

2. 21 July (half day): A technical workshop on the Formulation and Implementation of youth financial inclusion roadmaps and Maya Commitments, in the jurisdictions of the participants.
