AFI will host a two day Virtual Regional Training on Practical Considerations for Inclusive Green Finance (IGF) Implementation, Leveraging on Digital Financial Services (DFS) in the Africa Region. The training will be held on 8 – 9 November 2023.

The objective of this training is to enable participants to identify practical steps to be taken by regulators to leverage financial inclusion and innovate DFS products to build resilience to climate risks and promote a just transition to a green economy. This discussion focuses on several AFI publications such as Integrating Inclusive Green Finance Policies into National Financial Inclusion Strategies, Leveraging Digital Financial Services to Advance Inclusive Green Finance Policies, Roadmap for Inclusive Green Finance Implementation. The training follows AFI’s peer learning model, and all the nominated participants are expected to actively participate and share the accomplishments of their respective institutions in IGF policy development and implementation.
