Suhaimi Ali brings 28 years of central banking experience at Bank Negara Malaysia, where he currently leads the Financial Development sector. He’s helped shape Malaysia’s financial landscape across regulation, payments, strategic planning, and international negotiations – spearheading the Financial Sector Blueprint 2022–2026, steering policy through the Covid-19 crisis, and founding AKPK in 2006. He currently chairs AFI’s Global Standards and Policy Committee and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame
