AFI and the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu (RBV) will be hosting the 14th Pacific Islands Regional Initiative (PIRI) in Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.
The meetings will convene under the theme “Building Trusted and Resilient Financial Ecosystems for Inclusive Growth in the Pacific.”
As Pacific economies navigate rising disruptions—from geopolitical uncertainty and climate-related shocks to gaps created by rapid digital transformation, these changes often outpace improvements in financial and digital literacy, particularly among vulnerable groups. In this context, maintaining financial systems that are secure, reliable, and trusted by households, MSMEs, and communities is increasingly critical.
