AFI is organizing leaders’ Virtual Public-Private Dialogue (PPD) roundtable on ‘’COVID-19: lessons and opportunities for recovery and advancing inclusive finance and growth in 2021 and beyond” on Thursday, 4 February 2021 at 12:00 to 14:00 UTC.
Meeting will convene leaders of AFI member and PPD partner institutions to review policy actions and innovations that have been undertaken during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and deliberate on emerging opportunities and challenges in ensuring an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in 2021 and beyond.
The following questions will be addressed during the webinar:
1) What have been the high impact actions and innovations by members and private sector partners in 2020 to curb the negative economic effects of the pandemic on financial inclusion?
2) What lessons and opportunities may be harnessed for inclusive economic recovery and resilience post COVID-19 and especially to the disproportionate excluded segments such as women, youth, and MSMEs? Do we still have gaps?
3)What are the practical opportunities for collaboration between Public and Private sectors to build more financial inclusive economies?
Kindly confirm your participation by 22 January 2021.
The workshop is partially financed through AFI’s Multi-Donor Financial Inclusion Policy Implementation Facility (MD-PIF), with participation of French Development Agency (AFD), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Ministry of Finance of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
