According to the ARFIPI Workplan for 2025-2027, approved at the ARFIPI Leaders’ Roundtable in September 2025, member institutions envisaged a tailored virtual training to address the escalating threat of financial frauds and scams across the Arab region. Following-up on the implementation of the workplan, this training has been specifically designed in accordance with members’ preferences indicated in AFI’s recent survey, resulting in a targeted, two-day program featuring focused sessions that directly address priority concerns such as improving consumer awareness and utilizing supervisory technologies (SupTech). Hence, this training provides a region-specific view to these impending threats, reviewing the role of consumer empowerment paired with the deployment of SupTech to monitor trends in payment fraud.
