This virtual meeting will focus on the findings of a study commissioned by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) titled “Analysis of the Competition and Regulatory Environment of Tanzania’s Digital Financial Services Ecosystem.”
The study provides an opportunity to examine how market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics influence the development, affordability, and accessibility of digital financial services (DFS).
Drawing on Tanzania’s experience, the session will explore the relationship among competition, regulation, and financial inclusion, highlighting relevant policy lessons and regulatory approaches that AFI member institutions could adapt in their respective jurisdictions.
